ESPN 2K5 help

Yesterday I went to gamestop and got espn 2k5 (ps2). It was used so it didnt have a manual. I was wondering if anyone has it, because I cant figure out how to shoot freethrows. Its driving me crazy. Thanx.
PS: Feel free to closerize this once I get an answer.
Ps: BTW: Gamestop is now selling GBAs for $20 with the video or tv thingy with them. Now all the noobs who want to use their gameboy advance for a screen can!

Yeah I was really surprised. And they had about 20 GBAs so that was good. Maybe theyre trying to get rid of them. BTW can someone answer my game question please! Im leaving for ireland in 3 hours.

I'm not sure but I think you push forward on the thumbstick to shoot freethrows. I could be wrong.

Theres this basketball in the corner with L and R on either side and this red ball in the middle. Then these red things come out and go away. The ball then turns blue and starts going up and down (the speed depends on how good a freethrow shooter your player is). I think you try to get the ball right in the middle, but even when I do its still a miss. Whats up with this?

Use L and R (try both of each) to center the bars that will appear at the bottom.
