Project Ring Box
Ok, many of you are wondering about the title, well, Project ring box is a project were I am going to attempt to build this: http://www.psp-vault.com/Article63.psp
into a ring box that looks simular to, this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... gory=67696
except not with gold, and with the ring holder removed, so the only thing that is left is a metal box with a thin piece of cardboard stuck in the bottom
so far I have cut a hole in the front what will be used to insert and remove a memory stick
+-------+
also, I will be trying to find a compact flash converter, a compact flash female socket on one side and a memory stick male jack on the other side

FDSMAN, you need to be a bit more patient......and Reaperman's right, the price of memory stick duos is only gonna get lower, so unless you already have the normal Memory Stick Pros, then you might as well wait for the prices to drop down more, if they're still too high for your price range...if you already have at least a 1GB or 2GB memory stick pro, though, then I'd say this isn't a bad idea if you want to be able to play a couple of movies on your psp
Without games my life would have no meaning.
Well, I guess it would, but it would be a lot less fun!!!!!!!

I don't think so, and I don't think it will happen until the new memstick is used in more items. maybe if enough PSPs get out there a game company like nyko will come out with an 8-in-1 attachment.FDSMAN wrote:no one knows if a adapter? with a compact flash female connector and a male memory card connector
since this is the first common item to require memstickII, there's just not a lot out there for it. I'd personally love to cut that useless port out and throw in an SD or CF--there's a mod for somebody. Or just cut up the guy that keeps thinking that sony should have its own inferior format for everything.

Memory sticks are proprietary and they don't communicate with the base units in the same way as CF or other types of flash memory drives.
You would have to build and program a converter board to get this to work. You're better off using the 5 finger discount to get cheaper psp storage.
