arcade machine help

Can someone tall me what is worng with my arcade mechine it will play for about 5 min. Then it will go to a blue screen or a white screen or purple screen and when i turn it on most of the time it will just go to the white screen or the blue screen or the purple screen so i turn it off and on to get it to play can someone help

Yeah, that sounds like what happens when the game/game slot needs to be cleaned. Now on an arcade machine, I'm not sure, but there may be a game plugged in somewhere. In any case, find all the big or dirty slots and clean them.

I'm guessing excitebike is an all-in-one board machine. or does it instead plug into some kind of nes-based hardware--like a playchoice setup, or something?

an all-in-one arcade machine should check the readability of gamedata in its post. If yours is, a bad read isn't likely and a power supply is about all I can guess.

It does sound like a bad read or an overheat--but if your machine looks how I suspect it does inside, neither of those are very likely.
