VERY newbie here....

Hi everyone.

New to the board, and new to Ben's site.

A few years ago, I saw the portable PS1 that Ben made, and I always thought of making one. I was too young at the time, though.

Now, a few years later, I think I can do something(just not as big...I was thinking of doing a NES or N64).

Now, I know I will need to get Ben's book at some point, but besides that, is there anything else I can read/need to know to start out my crusade?

hmm... ok, the PSone is the smallest console ever, so no worries about size with that, and it's heaps better than the N64.

and I think a Nesp whith a noac is the smallest console I know

Make sure you know how to solder.

You just need the book. I just built my first portable. The NES following the book step by step.

Just check out my post about the errors on page 156 and 155 before you start.

I dont think he means Physical size I think he means something less difficult.

And also I would recomend the nes because the 64 has 3 or 4 input voltages.

Plus you do not need to worry about the controller difficulty.
