is there any hope for my dying TV?

Post by daguuy »

i have a little old black and white TV that works just fine......for about 10 minutes. after about 10 minutes, the picture scrolls up and down and it makes watching it very annoying. i don't think it has anything to do with the reception because i used it with my dreamcast and it did the same thing. is there a peice that needs to be replaced or what? how could i fix it?

hmmm.....perhaps something's getting overheated :?....
Without games my life would have no meaning.
Well, I guess it would, but it would be a lot less fun!!!!!!!

sounds like it's time for an $8 goodwill tv.
they're generally bigger and more colorful.

Get a Mini-ITX motherboard and build a computer inside of it...at least it'll stop the scrolling! (though the TV will no longer function anyway)

Well if the controlls for the screen are fried you can always see about reusing the receiver, antenna and cable input. May com in handy down the line.

See what happens if you turn it off as soon as that happens and then turn it on again. Thats what works for my tv.
