are these all true?
1. real 2600 compatible hardware ("runs all 2600 compatible games")
2. compatible controller ports ("if you need a paddle, just plug in a paddle")
3. space on the motherboard for adding your own cartridge port ("a familiar footprint for those with soldering irons")
4. coming sometime this year, replacing the Flashback I at retail
5. other Flashback products are in the pipeline
6. homebrew titles are actively being solicited
1-4 make sence, I cant say the same for 5 and 6. I cant really believe that they have planned or a rough idea of what their going to do for the Flashback 3.0. And 6 really why? As I can see that would be pointless as most people wouldnt know what the hell Combat 2 is. Its not in their best interest to license homebrew unless majority of the public know if the game, thats the key reason they had those choic 6 game with the radica and why they stick with the tried-and-true games from Atari when they do those joystick DTV games.

6 makes sense in that most of the 80's versions of games were vastly inferior to titles written later *cough* pacman *cough*. And that most of the homebrewers would be happy enough to see their work on a widely distributed commercial unit for little to no license money. what doesn't make sense is not putting the WHOLE library of official atari games on it.
unlike many systems, rom space isn't an issue. they're like 8kb each...

no,no,no, u got it wrong, there not gonna make new games, cause if they did make more games, most people dont have an old atari that they can chop up and remove the cart.port to play em, there gonna re-lease new controllers incase they break, some paddles, maybee a special controller thats filled with more games that you plug into it, i just say what curt tells usSparkfist wrote:1-4 make sence, I cant say the same for 5 and 6.
