uncovering freePSPs.com (legit or Spamaty calamitty)

Post by gamer2 »

hello,

I have a link to a referal to sign up and help me get a free offical Playstation portable. Well i was thinking to report on it if it is legit, like if i get a package take pictures of it, the contents, Etc the only way i can do it is if i can get a few referals, apperently the site dont take anything out of the states, so my referal amount from here is limited. Help me uncover if this is a scam or legit. my link is in my sig.

thank you

I just thought that I'd point out that if somebody were to report that you were posting your link on this forum, your account could be suspended.

you're not trying to uncover a potential scam....you're trying to get a free psp :P....
Without games my life would have no meaning.
Well, I guess it would, but it would be a lot less fun!!!!!!!

The majority of those sites are legit, but they can also be irrationally picky about... well...everything. Your account could be voided for just about any reason, depending on the whim of the company operating the advertising service (which is what those "free" sites are all about) and referrals could be rejected for the slightest reason.

And I believe Gamelver is correct: you just want a free PSP :P Beware, you may be on the way to even more headaches if you don't move your advertising to a less gimmick-aggressive forum.

Most Conga Lines turn a completely do-able concept into that which it was supposed to replace: a Pyramid scheme. One person needs 10 referals, then each of the 10 people who gave him referals need 10 referals (100 total) and each of those 100 people need 10 referals (1000 people) and each of those 1000 people need 10 referals (10,000) and each of those 10000 people need 10 referals......

Many conga lines will only yeild frustration and long waits.
Once your information is confirmed, you'll be added as the next member of the conga list. Once the person in the #1 spot is finished, they will be removed and everyone will move up. Direct everyone you know to this site, and we should all get our own PSPs in no time!
This is untrue. There will always be 5 more people who need referals.

Beware the congas! (runs away screaming)

First of all Im surprised this isnt already locked.
Second: I was wondering. What do these free stuff sites attempt to gain. Theyre not getting any advertising out of it, and people just want the free psp, they dont read the spam or ads that they get. So how do these sites benifit from giving away free psps?

They are paid for the advertising, regardless of whether the users (you and I) give a care about the so-called "offers". They (the companies affiliated with the offers) know that there will always be SOMEONE who actually does want one of the offers. Heck, if I didn't already have Real Player and the purchasing service, I would have stuck to the Napster offer (when I once tried the "free-stuff" game).
