Plastic glue

Hello,
Does anyone know of something like a hot glue gun but instead of outputing glue that dries to a rubberish plastic it uses a glue that drys to a hard plastic? I am considering attemping to build a 3d printer and I'm trying to figure out what I should use for the plastic. So far I think epoxy is one option, but the glue/plastic has to dry very quickly and needs to dry hard. Also, does anyone know if a laser, when aligned properly, would be able to detect a small drop of epoxy or some other type of glue falling through the air? Does anyone know of any people who have build a 3d printer or attempted to build a one before? Any help will or advice would be appreciated, thanks.

I used some stuff called 'plastic fusion' once with great results. it doesn't dry clear, it's kind of a solid, cream color. it still takes about 5 minutes to dry, but it dries pretty hard.

that kind of thing is a great idea, there is a company in canada thats trying to make some thing like that that can make a part of a plastic case in about a few minutes. they can make some thing like a jug handle or a gameboy, in about 5 hours.

Could you make a how-to for your 3D printer? I would like to build one, myself!

If I sucessfully build one, yes I probably would make a how-to for it. But right now I'm more in the "design phase". I'm trying to figure out what to use for the plastic and the best method to distribute the plastic. I'm considering using an air pump needle but I'm open to different suggestions. By the way, does anyone know if epoxy will melt or catch on fire if put in an oven?
