terminology

What are those things called in an electronic device where you place the battery. The spring side goes connects to the negitive electrode of the battery. The side with the bump attaches to the positive. I thought they were called battery clips, but I cant find them.

Sorry to waste your time with a stupid question, but I just cant think of the name.

I have always called them battery cases/casing and the people at radioshack always now what im talking about.

Um... I use IE..... is there a firefox plug-in or something. I spelled one word wrong (benn should be been). Plus I was in a rush and wrote that with one hand.

I could also pick apart your above statement if I really wanted.
