You can fit the controls in the case and still keep it comfy. Like this:

As for the lid switch, just use a small, panel mount, SPST switch wired to the two points where the old switch was. Leave it closed normally, and when you need to switch a disk, switch it to open and the CD will stop spinning, then just switch the disk close the lid and flip the switch to closed

ok ive almost got the case and controls setup my main problem now is that i need just a little bit more space for the way im mounting the controls basicly i need to make the case about an inch thicker i just dont know what to useto give it that little bit of space, any ideas on what i could use *note vacume form is not possable*

are you leaving the rf shielding around the psone board because just take that off and you might have enough room

ok as for the needing space problem ive figured that out, now i have a new one. im using the special ed. street fighter controller(sorry no links) but as for the wireing on the controller....well its weird it has a wire that goes into the controler port that doesnt connect to the controller the connections to the system its self look about like this

ok the one that doesnt go to the controler is r the wire runs through the cord up untill about 4 inches from the conroler and then just stops now my main problem is that is this wire really need if im going from controler to where the controler port connects
