Find their brand-new selling price, divide it by 8 or 10, thats what they pay you.

Really, I haven't EVER seen someone get a lot of money from even a new game. (Some guy was returning Nascar 2005, got about $7 off of it. AND IT WAS NEW.
And then they go and charge over ten bucks for Genesis games.

Back when I sold games back to them. I sold Aladdin for SNES to 'em for 3 bucks, then looked in the used-game-price catalog, they were selling it for 20 dollars.

1/2 used price?
That's pretty a pretty generous example. I usually see people trading in for a couple of bucks. I traded in three PS1 games (take that as you will
) and got about $4.50 For that much I'd rather keep emm' for my collection (not like I can't/won't play em
Or put 'em up on ebay, whatever. lol.

They never give you enough for them I only traded in games once to find this out I gave them two ps1 games and a controller and I got less than $5 this was 2 or 3 years ago also since then I havent traded in one thing to any game store. My freind got a medal of honor game one day (dont remember which game it was) beat it in like 5 or 6 days and then went to trade it in they were selling them new for $50 still and used for $30-$40 and they gave him like $15 for it.
I sold Fable to them for $37. I bought it for $50. They give you much more money for RPGs. In fact they gave me $16 for Final Fantasy IX and $14 for Final Fantasy VIII. I have some friends that work at Gamestop and they say that sports titles will yield next to nothing, because a new version comes out every year. It all comes down to demand. If the demand for a game us high then you will get more cash out of it. Had I sold my copy of Halo 2 (never!!) on Nov. 10 (the day after it's release) I am sure I could have gotten nearly full price for it. Simple ecconomics wins the day. Supply vs Demand
