A way to TEST your portable

Hey, I was wondering if there was a way to TEST your LCD on your mobo, before soldering it. If you guys know feel free to tell. And leave a some what elaborate description of how you do it. Thanks!!

well if you just have the kind with the connecton just plug it in to the system
or if it has the colored prongs jsut do the same thing

wothout soldering? you could hack the AV cord or maybe use alligator clips if you can connect them to the AV things
