The SuSE installer has a partition creator which will list all your HDDs, so just pick the one you want, and install to it. If you have anything on the second HDD, either move it, or just shrink the existing partition and make a new partition. When you start installing SuSE, you will see how simple it really is. SuSE also has a muti-messenger client which can connect to services like MSN, ICQ, AIM, and Yahoo Messnger. If you want to run the real MSN Messenger, you can run an older Windows or a miniature version of XP or 2000 in DOSbox(within Linux).

MSN Messenger no. But there are messenger programs that work with MSN, Yahoo, and AIM screen names, like an all-in-one of sorts.

You understood what I ment, and thats whats important.nos_slived wrote:Unanimus? I think you forgot a couple letters, LOL.
Oh and about the installers. SuSE and RedHat both of which I've used have great user friendly installers. The only thing that you may worry about is a text based installer, like what DSL (Damn Small Linux) and Slax use. However you can find help all over the internet about how to use (c)fdisk and how to properly install it so you dont fudge anything.

I dont know what I'm talking about, I just know they have those all-in-one messenger apps for every OS.

A page of mirrors(including 1 torrent)
Direct mirror from a Swiss site with a 96% satisfaction rate(I got approx 4h vs. 9h from LinuxISO)
Don't forget that it is a 700MB download, so it will take a while, even with broadband. Do you have NERO or another ISO burning program yet?

Linuxiso.org, iso.linuxquestions.org, isohunt.com (need torrent program)watermelon wrote:does anyone know a decent place to get suse from? LinuxISO is running incrediably slow.
Yes the SuSE installer will do that. Most newer distros will use Grub, some still use Lilo.if im running two os's (xp and suse) how do i select which one i use?
If you mean select which OS, then yes. Both Grub and Lilo have a list of the OS on you system with a timer (you can set) that will loud which ever one after the timer runs out if one is not selected before hand.is there an option on boot to select?

First un-rar it. Then open Nero and select the "burn nero project or image". This is all you really need to know.

No offense to anyone, I am not a big fan of Windows XP. (I believe Windows 2000 was better.) Actually, I would rather use a Macintosh Quadra with Mac OS 7.6.1!
But everyone has their opinions.
This seems like the appropriate place for a couple song parodies... (don't read if you can't handle an anti-Microsoft joke. Just fair warning.
)
[sings to the tune of "jingle Bells"]
Man, this program's big
biggest ever seen
God this file's big
MS Word 15
comes on 10 CDs
It requires--DAMN!
100 gigs of disk space
and a terabyte of RAM
OH Microsoft, Microsoft. Bloatware all the way
I've been here installing it
since midnight yesterday, oh
Microsoft, Microsoft cut the bloatware, please.
in case you haven't noticed
Hard drives don't grow on trees!
[/singing]
I may edit this again (depending on weather or not I come up with another one.
)
