Portables Info Database Wiki

The name says it all. I found a free wiki host that I thought we could use to store the info that was once on PoD, and any future info. I figure the wiki system would be better than a standard webpage because anyone can add to it with absolutely no HTML knowledge whatsoever.

I'm not demanding anything, but if you could just take a look and give it a try I would appreciate it. Thanks.

EDIT: Not sure how this particular system will work, so please bear with me.
EDIT2: OK, you need to click on the "create new page" thing to make a new page. It''s a bit different from wikipedia.
EDIT3: It lets you load pictures directly to their servers!

(Sorry, I'm just kinda figuring it out as I go here.)

Wow that's pretty cool, we could just post all the stuff we've came across while on this site.
I would be worried about stuff getting deleted by some idiot having fun though.

Yeah, that could be a problem... should add that to the general rules on the main page.

I figured this would work out because everyone could collaborate on it, instead of one or two people doing all the work.

Is there a way that you could lock something once it is submitted? that way we could keep our precious info from evildoers.

or find one that has an option to roll back to a certain point.

Also, I'm not sure you should use bens name in it. He really has nothing to do with it. I dunno if he would care or not.

Well, I never used his name explicitly, just the name of the website, so it all kinda fits together, ya know?

I could change it to "pod.wikispaces.org" if it's a major issue. (but I hope ben won't mind, his full name is never issued.)

But then what about "abbibi.cogia.net"? (or whatever doomportables is now) Did abbibi set that up, or did someone else?

*I hope Ben doesn't mind.

EDIT- About the "dumb kid erases everything" problem, don't worry about it. There's an option to view the previous versions of the pages, going back before it was edited.

OK, rocky start... awkward...

I'm pretty sure there wont be any problems, but just in case I changed it to http://doomportables.wikispaces.org and am now currently moving all the pages over.

(I figure this is OK... I hope.

)
