Best Arcade Game Port on an older system?
Hey that "Best Game Console" thread made me think of this. Remember back in the old days when arcade machines were WAY more powerful than consoles (If you don't you're probably pretty young)
Well, anyway, no matter how powerful the arcade game they always tried porting them to consoles (Xenophobe on the 2600, anyone?) Some were pretty faithful (like Contra or TMNT) while others, still good, were completely different (Ninja Gaiden)
But what was the best conversion? To be fair let's limit it to systems no newer than the SNES.
My vote is for Konami's SNES version of Sunset Riders. It's literally EXACTLY as the arcade machine.

Space Invaders on the NES was really close, if not identical, to the original arcade. (I think...)
NES Joust was very very close.
NES Donkey Kong was only missing the "DK climbs to the next level" animation.
And an oddity in this: Super Mario Bros. was ported to a copule arcade consoles.

That was an awesome game. Back when I was 6-7 my friend and I played through it so many times, even after we lost our interest in the show/toys.Turbo Tax 1.0 wrote:turtles in time on the snes that was a fun game

Parodius (SNES? or Super Famicom?)
Nes Contra was better than the arcade.
All arcade to Saturn ports were wonderful. (Though, Most were ST-V ports)
