can someone tell me how to connect composite to this screen
ive opened it up and there are 5 wires together
yellow green pink orange brown
any help would be much appreciated

Power Board

i am powering it from a 7.2v 5.0Wh battery i just attached the two power wires to the battery im thinking ill need some capacitors to clean the signal or something i dunno im a noob to this.
Ill take osme pictures of the pcb tomrow when i find my damn screwdriver it was just here godaaamn it i hate it when things dissapear like that its the lil people i tells ya

hiya
any suggestions anyone?
do you reckon it could be rgb or something?
the 5 video cables are labeled like this on the board
B1 = green
B2 = yellow
B3 = orange
B4 = pink
B5 = brown
audio cables are labelled
A1 = grey
A2 = purple
A3 = pink
is there any way i could test whats what using some kind of special machine?
I would appreciate any help at all i really want to finish this n64p please.

hahahahhaa
i been fideling all day in this bloody hot weather and had no success but then i accidently touched one of the wires with my hand and because of all the sweat or something the screen turned blue i then touched another wire and the screen turned green and guess what happeend when i touched another wire yessss u guessed it it turned RED.
soo can i take it that those wiresi touched correespond to RGB?
ok this is what i think the wires are
B1 = green/video ground
B2 = yellow/video composite
B3 = orange/red
B4 = pink/green
B5 = brown /blue
im getting a lot of interference with the picture using composite im guessing it because im only touching the wires to the video and video ground points from the ps2.
I alsoe heard something about grounding the signals or something how do i do that?

You hadn't told us that you had 2 wires that you didn't list, which were V+ and GND. Anyways, I'm glad you figured it out. I can't remember what system you are doing. I think it was SNES, but I'm not sure. If you are doing the SNES, use RGB instead of composite. If you get interference after you have the wires solderred properly, wrap some grounded tin foil around them.
EDIT: Just looked, and I guess you are doing an N64.

mmhhhh so the interference is because im connecting B1 and B2 to ps2's video and video ground by twisting the wires together without insulating?
Because now im finding it hard to get a picutre from composite i didnt really get a proper picture before either i just touched b1 b2 to the points on the ps2 video composite and faintly saw the ps2 welcome screen there was a lot of ghosting and scan lines.
Im going to get some protoboard tomorow and solder everything properly and check it then.

ok new day
im off to maplins to grab some stripboard probably pick up some micro switches and capacitors while im there.
am i right in thinking adding some capacitors will clean up the signals?
im gonna make a interface board for this screen with rgb compsite and audio connections itll make things a lot easier while im in the design phase.
although i still havent got a proper picture on this screen yet so im a little worried
BTW considering this is a psone screen ive been stupid not to look at the psx a/v pinout up until now would of made things a lot easier.
althought now after looking at that im not sure if i got it right becasue this screen can display both ntsc and pal there a lil switch on the side maybe it uses s video that Y and C, or it might only use RGB in that case B1 and B2 might be +5v and C sync
ill know more later.
up until now ive been doing things unnacurately ive been approaching it like a woodwork porject or something i need to let my scienctist take over.
EDIT: OK i connected up B1 B2 to composite i get a picture but there is static and the video is greyed out at first i wasnt getting a picture at all till i remeberd that switch thtat sets the pal/ntsc region.
Even when there is nothing connected to the screen there is a "buzzing" on the screen, i made sure there were no electric appliances turned on in the room either.
Can an unclean power supply effect the video like that?
Because i have connected the 12v power block from my laptop to a in car adaptor that came with the screen this gives me 7.2v that i feed directly to the screen bypassing the power board, im thinking those two chunky looking capacitors on the power board must clean up the signal.
If i just attach those capacitors will they solve my problem?
