For future reference, the adjustable regulator is called an LM317, and needs additional circuitry to work.
Warranty-Voiding fun!

In my case, psonep. (yeah, I know I haven't made <s>much</s> any progress, but I have been busy in school and working and all that stuff. But I have everything but the 7808.)

I have 3 RadioShacks within a 15 minute drive- one in the mall, two in plazas. The one in the mall only sells cheapo gadgets, one of the plaza ones has a wall-rack full of parts, and the last one has all the parts drawers. NONE of the people I have talked to even knows what AMPERAGE is.

Get a load of this:

They still do the same thing now... make cheap ripoffs of popular stuff. (just look at their electro-static air cleaners vs. The Atomic Breeze.)

wow....at least a couple people at the Radioshack near me know a little about electronics :)...
Without games my life would have no meaning.
Well, I guess it would, but it would be a lot less fun!!!!!!!

I'd consider going to the site of their new store name, but they cant even hotlink it, that's cheap.
