Emulators on the PSP!!!!

Post by Gamelver »

Well, it's finally been done....people with v1.5 PSPs can now run hombrew apps (like emulators) on their psps :D!!!!.....I've already tried Snes9x (or whatever it's called) and it's pretty good...I've also tried Doom, which works great :) (the sounds a bit screwed up, though..)

here are some links:
tutorial
FAQ
How to Install Homebrew/Emulators
premade files for emulators :)

oh, and if you're wondering if Super Metroid works on it....it doesn't ....I'll try it again, but I doubt it'll work :(....
Without games my life would have no meaning.
Well, I guess it would, but it would be a lot less fun!!!!!!!

Hey, maybe I'll now spend the 250 dollars for the PSP, 100 dollars for the memory card, and 50 dollars in needed accessories.

But that is really cool, the smallest SNES ever, what speed does it run at?

not to mention that most ppcs are smaller
and cheaper...

but this is a very good step for the PSP.

I never had much luck with the GBA snes emu, though.

I didnt know there was a SNES emulator for the GBA, thought it was too weak, I did know of the NES and GBO emulators though.

I posted on your NES thread. But I've always liked SNES more than anything.

I think the creepy avatar person posted it when The Game boy emulator came out. I'd just carry around my GBC If I wanted to do that.
When will a vertical shooter emulator come out? that would be cool. Though I think most of the vertical shooters have a higher resolution.

Sounds good, all stuff I'll have when I get a PSP (I'm going to get one someday, but I have like 2 grand worth of stuff to get first, hah).
