I've had my SNESp in ready to go condition for awhile(or so I thought). I've been getting the screen and LEDs to turn on(volume and brightness adjusters show up and its lit well), but the SNES seems to be doing nothing. I've tried lots of things, noticed stuff I was missing, and I'm still at that exact same spot. Here's a somewhat crude paint diagram of how I have it setup right now. Any suggestions or any in general things I amy be doing wrong would be greatly appreciated, as I've only got 5 days to get this running and in my case.
It should say DPDT switch by the the grey little box in the middle. That pale yellow box attached to the DPDT switch si the charge jack. If there are anyother questions or confusion about my diagram I'll explain it.

Yeah I was using the 7805 regulator off of the PS1 screen(like shown in the book). Okay I'm going to try the direct battery to the SNES idea, but without a regulator won't it be too much power? Any more ideas(in case it doesn't work) would be aprreciated.

Actually I may have goffed on the diagram, I have it on the same spot as shown in the book(i'll check when I get home though, the diagram was made on pure memory). keep the ideas coming guys I really appreciate it.
im not sure wat you mean but have you check trhe regulator oin the back of the psone screen to make sure you have output on the 7805 going to the snes and not input on the 7805
Yeah I just checked and I do have it on the 5+ output pin. And what I was talking about in my last post was, instead of using the PS1 regulator, I'll use the SNES normal regulator. But I'm thinking its not the regulator as when I use the multimeter on the SNES there is power going to it(at the regulator spot, reset button area, and controller area, but not the on/off switch)

yeah I've tried the regualtor used for the LEDs as well, i knwo the SNES is getting power(like i said it was getting reading off it) maybe i didn't jump the on/off properly.
You should try giving the SNES it's own regulator. Getting a new one would be best. But the one that was originally on the SNES motherboard should work, too. Just make sure you've got a good heatsink.
Oh, and the cartridge isn't in backwards is it? Even Ben did that once.
