A lot of good stereos were made in the 60's too. The 70's were right around when stereos stopped using tubes and moved to solid state. Then in the 80's, we got CDs and everything went downhill from there.

true, but tubes from 60's stereos get to be a pain in the rear after 30 years sitting in some guys garage.

...even artists that played decent music in the 60's and well past the 80's, mysteriously really sucked in the 70's. *cough*bowie*cough*
