I've actually talked to gannon and Spongey about our current mod situation. For the most part I was pro-change. New mods, switch mods, "specialized mods" (Certain mods work for cetain forums etc.). Now, though, I have come to see that it probably would do no good. The way I see it, we're not having any major problems that require a mods assisstance. It's compliment to this community. We're very self-suficient. On the other hand, new mods could bring trouble. Power-trips are the major concern. Who amoung us, after recieving new powers, wouldn't want to try them out? Unfortunatly, mods can't do that.

So I vote no. I'm against new mods.

From GUIDELINES TO SUCCESS:
7) If you arent a mod, and you think a topic needs to be dealt with, DO NOT make a post saying "this is dumb, some mod please lock this" Making a post such as that, you are undermining authority. it wont get it locked any faster, and it just makes you look like a power hungry dink. You have no clout, quit acting like you do. This does not undermine rule #3 in any way. Modding is their job, not yours. They don't show up to your work and tell you what to do.

8 ) DO NOT make a new topic to address a current issue you have with a person's conduct, or a certain topic on the board. This will not make the issue solved any quicker and will in all likelihood cause a worse problem.

I saw them, and I've seen a lot more and even worse spam posts before. What doesn't help is people posting and yelling in the spam topics. It only gets more attention pulled towards them. The guidelines to success thread was made for a reason, please read it.

the following is not meant to offend HK-47 or any mod in any way whatsoever

In my honest opinion, people were being pretty nice before our last moderator was addaed. This isn't because of who it was, but how many we had. In my opinion, the best way to moderate would be having an "anchor" mod or 2 that would be a moderator for all forums. Then there would be some "semi mods" that would only moderate a forum or 2, based on their expertise. For example, I'm pretty good with the 2600, and would be a mod there, and maybe the book forum or something. Gamelver made 3 (almost 4) N64p's and a GCp, so he could be a mod at the N64 and current-gen systems forum. To prevent super overmoderation, HK would need to be bumped for this (again, I mean absolutely no offense by this, it's just that too many mods can make things mean... you'd probably still be in F42, though... *me hugs HK-47* there, does that help?)

Ah dont worry spongey, I couldnt get mad at you... :P
Though if there are some spam posts in the last week or so, ive been busy for the last few weeks finishing end of year essays and reports and such, so I havnt been here much. Also, I agree with spongey, too many mods does make a board kinda "mean." Hey, if somethings gotta happen, somethings gotta happen. Though I think some of the meaness is comming from the fact more people know about ben. I mean, it started out with a few diehard fans on the forums, but then many so called "noobs" arived (no offence to anyone). Anyway, do whatever has to be done. :)

people have been making less, but not stopped :D . i know people who are working on N64ps and DCps and GCps and talk about starting PS2ps. it just seems like people gave up making them because they havn't fnished yet. but i agree, people do need to make more than are being made right now

I know how ya feel....I've seen many threads that definitely belong in a topic-specific forum, but they're just posted here, instead...
Without games my life would have no meaning.
Well, I guess it would, but it would be a lot less fun!!!!!!!

Dude there are lots of new portables, what are you talking about?! I can think of at least 5 new ones right off my head. Do you expect people to make a new one everyday? Besides, I don't see you making many  Calling the kettle black are we?
