meh the bigger ps2 can be made into a portable the motherboards are aboout the same size and the outher stuff are not that much bigger

i just got a ps2 slim from ebay..so what does it use? 12v or 7.8 somthing? anyone know? i havnt goten it yet but dont wana use my ps2 original for my portable.

Could somone tell me which of the 4 pins is the positive and negative to hook up 12V DC in from batteries. This would help out because i dont want to fry?? anything. PLEASE!!!!!

Easy I always go by rule of thumb(though I have fryed my old ps2

) Anyhow ground usually goes around the outside of the board and positive is usually on the innard.
As for the old ps2 where the power supply used to hook up the negative or ground or whatever it is has the area where it goes around the board and the positive is a small rectanglish shape i believe

so what your saying is that since the right AC plug has a white sripe (which means +) that the 2 pins on the outer left & right of the old ps2 board are ground and the left side of the inner pins is the - and the right is the +??? just a summary of what you said, hopefully. If anyone can make this easier just post a pic of what it REALLY looks like with batteries....hopefully GANNON can help me out on this one.....

the only thing about the old ps2 is it has a high(er) power consumption and more importantly a HUGE drive!
