What movie is it? also if you have a digital camera, set it up nice, and pause it at the appropriete time.

Lmao! This is a really simple thing if you use Windows Media Player

Open windows media player, click Tools > Options.

Click the performance tab and click Advanced.
Untick "Use Overlays" under "Video Acceleration", do the same for "Dvd Video".

You can't take still images from videos with hardware accelleration turned on.

For video files, download Microsoft Movie Maker, and use it to save stills.

You could use a video editing program to do it. Virtualdub for example.

MS paint can make JPG files. (but they kinda suck.)

Or use Photoshop, Imaging, MS Photo Editor, or The GIMP.
