Psone Screen

Its just the screen but not psone related.. i think :\

Its not the official screen but anyway, can i hook up composite to it? I mean the yellow cable from RCA plugs?

I don't see composite, but you can tie Luma(pin 5) and Chroma(pin 7) together to get composite (acording to Foxx).

Why is it that when i test the circuit for connection, say pin 5 so i can find the pin 5 solder point, i get connectivity on almost all the pins?!

Its really annoying and i dont understand why :\

um, composite's on pin 6, I think. just try there and it should work!.....as for that connectivity thing, well, I've got no idea why that'd happen...

Edit: btw, shouldn't this be in either the psone or the screen forum?...*sigh*, it seems like everything's in F42 now

.....the whole point of having separate forums for each topic was to have stuff organized, but if most people only go into F42 then what's the point?!?!?

You wont find composite on the PSone plug. The PSone uses RGB to connect to the screen, not composite.

The AV input plug is the only place that has composite input.

oh yeah...I forgot about that

...it said "NTSC Video/Composite Sync" so I thought NTSC video meant composite

...

OK! This is getting really annoying now.

Everytime i try and check which pin goes to which point, they all connect.

There is five wires on the board aswell as another 3, i assume the 5 wires has the video input on it. So, i connect one end of my "home made" circuit tester to pin 9 (blue) and then check the wires to see which pin the blue goes to, they all make the circuit tester light up!

What the hell is going on?

lol, yeah I only knew that because I tried the same thing when I got my PSOne screen. I thought it was broken or something, luckily gannon set me straight

What brand screen is it? Does it have composite input?
I have no idea why its doing the connection thing....

Its a Logic3 screen.

The only input it takes is from the psone so i dunno what pins it takes its signal from.

Argh wtf?!

All the wires (the 5 wires) go to the same damn pins!

When i check the pin to see what number it comes under on the pinout, the pin goes to a lot of the pins on the back of the board too!

This is REALLY starting to make me pissed off now and i dont understand why its not just one wire > one pin

I just tried audio through it and its fine, so its something to do with them 5 wires.

Can anybody think of what these 5 wires carry? Maybe, RGB, Ground, Sync?
