Ill call it PowerNet!
I will be making a portable that will run the internet! I will probably have Triton do its case, but first i have to get the parts and i have to know its size. I have it on paper of what its design will be. It looks cool. I have questions though, could i use a Dreamcast power supplie? Can i use a Dreamcast mother board and make it work like a PC mother board? It will pretty much be a portable computer without a CD-Drive, i will most likely put in a Floppy-Drive though. And could i get it to work on a PS1 screen? The system is made specialy for the Internet. I will put in a 10GB HDD at the most, i might make it lower then that but it will probably have 10GB, i will try to have downloading acsess, and i really want AIM on it too, just like i said, it will be a portable computer, i will try to put on Windows XP, its name is PowerNet, any questions?

yeah i'm sure ive seen mini pci to reg pci some wares... but yeah you might want to rethink a lot of that plan. *expecialy all that stuff you said about making a dream cast in to a PC* like im sure it could be done, but vary vary limited and vary dificult, also vary unlikly. maby you want to look around for a vary little PC to mess with like wait for nano...
i sould like a broken record, but every one wants ither to make some crazy small over powerd thing out of some thing huge and power draining, or they want to pull a PCp out of no ware with no idea of how to make it. the best bet is to wait for the nano with its self contained power suply and small size its perfect for this sort of thing. puls it takes mini pci, so no problem getting a wifi card for it.

Excellent, I wanted to, but size seems like a problem, and Wireless Modems are dangerousThornwillow wrote:I will be making a portable that will run the internet! Size is my main problem too, i estimated on how big it will be so far, and it will most likely be: The width is like 14" wide, height is like 8", and the sides are like 4". I thought about maybe putting a CD-Drive on it though, i mean its not mainly ment for games or anything but you know, you can put them on it if you want, but a CD-Drive will take up space to. I need to make everything fit, i need to lower its size. I will be putting in 112 RAM, i just got the RAM for it. Next im going to buy a Laptop Motherboard w/CPU, then i will buy a the laptop power supplie, then a floppy-drive, then the most portable CD-Drive i can find, and so on..... Theres one problem i see in it, what will i use for the mouse? I will most likely will buy a broken laptop that doesnt power up, and use its useful parts and buy a new power supplie if thats whats causing the problem. I have a drawing of its design of what i want it to look like, since it doesnt fold like a laptop, i will put something on top of it that goes over the screen and keyboard. I had several designs to pick from, one was a pul-out keyboard. Any Questions?
Toshiba Libretto U100 any questions?
