Need advice quick!!!

I found this great Sega CDX (Yes CDX) for $9 on ebay but its broken. nothing big just that the CD lid detection thing is broken.. He shows a picture of it. Is it easy to fix? Fixable? If so how!!!!

Go for it! I'm quite sure you could fix it easily with a new switch or something. EDIT: Actually, that is really tempting. But since you want it, I'm not gonna bid.

the thing is that i dont know weather to trust the dude some pple say its one thing but its something completely differnet (Learn from experience)
O and turbo I'm concerned cause I dont have that much cash left.

Like they say its just a simple latch switch, but is really a burnt CPU, the first being an easy sell, but the latter, obviously, being scrap.

They lye. They say (for example) a buttons broken but really its something different/unfixable/hard to fix.

Couldn't you just put another switch on the cd-door detector? Or even bridge the motherboard connections?

(latter might be a problem if there are any multi-cd games.)
