desolder bulb

my desolder bulb istne working
any advice
please help

Is it just the bulb, or is it attached to a desoldering iron. Either way, it is probably clogged with solder.

its just the bulb it sucks but like not enough

Get a spring loaded solder sucker instead. Unless you mean it's leaving just a little bit behind, in which case pick up a desoldering wick to get that little bit.

Unless you mean one of those workstations with a powered desoldering tip, forget about it. The cheap kind just have a hole in the tip connected to a bulb, not much better than a regular iron and a desoldering bulb. A solder sucker would serve you better.

Well if you still have trouble, try cleaning it out with acetone and a q-tip. worked for me.

The hole in the tip. It gets gummed up with old solder and flux and stuff.

Or not bother with it since he has a spring loaded solder sucker now. That will last a quite long time before needing to be cleaned.

my solder sucker is old and the plastic tips hole is very small which is good for fine desoldering
