My portable is 90% done! right now I have a GC hipscreen running off of 4 AA batteries. Now I have both the audio and the video hooked up and have not removed any components from the screen so will the A: eventualy kill my portable if used for long or B: rob me blind in batteries? Btw I have only on speaker running I disconnected the other mid way down its connecting wire (the one that runs near the top of the case) and its doing this weird thing where it will only display video if audio is hooked up. Update! working on the case! My father Just helped me jig-saw the front(since I don't know squat about jig-saws, jig-saw puzzels, or any thing else that begins with "jig" and ends with "saw"

Actualy it will be much thicker because i'm using a project box but i may cut that down some. I won't realy know until i mount the controls. by the way does any one know if there is anything special about the ribon cable that connnects the two halves of the noac (the actual chip + the cart slot and the controlls + video/audio out and on/off switch).

Be careful with cutting down the project boxes. The Radioshack ones are slightly tapered, so if you cut the depth, the lid will be just barely too big. Trust me, I've made the same mistake.

If you want to shorten the case you cut off the bottom (not the lid part), and use the aluminum plate that it comes with the case as a bottom plate.

thanks for warning me! I probably would never have noticed that until too late. I may not cut it since I want to have the cart sit inside with only an inch or two sticking out the top.
