Once I opened up a SNES mini and it had a bunch of dead earwigs in it. Pretty gross :P

*Google image searches for "earwig"* Ah!! That's what those are called? I hate those friggin things...

Edit: I hate silverfish too. (The two look a lot alike.) They love the boxes and clutter in my garage. I don't believe they're dangerous in any way, but they're quick little buggers...

I have a really keen sense of smell. I can usuall smell if there are dead bugs inside electronics. It has a dry musky or murky smell. Often enough I get a whiff of an old VCR or something and I just leave it alone.

I've now lost about a 5-10% interest in opening an old system, I hate bugs. Luckily CT is void of the really big ones, but ordering online could give me a run for my money (and I really would run).

I have an SNES, and when I got it in the mail, there were tiny ants crawling around on the box, inside and outside, eating the glue.

Taking out spiders and stuff it part of the fun. ^^* You should have seen my (S)NESes when I first opened them up...MAN they were full of them...same with my Atari.

Think of how you'da felt if they were alive. Consider yourself lucky. ...Wait, no, that was the Earwig guy whose video-game-console-inhabiting pests were dead. :P Were the spiders alive, Thornwillow? I'm guessing they were, since there were also eggs in it. If so, then yeah... that'da been scary.

I guess you have no working 5200 anymore.

I found a bunch of ants in my keyboard. (little [bad word]s were using it as an access path between the kitchen and the living room window. Gotta admire their work ethic, but eeeeewwww...) And guess what I was doing when I found them?
