If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

im not shure a thread exists like this, and im just in need of a little help...

i was using a DC-DC car adapter with adjustable voltage settings to test power my screen. its an un-official PSone screen running at 7.5 volts...

had a nice fizz noise followed by a pop. turns out the damn thing was pumping 10 volts into the screen. took sum AA's at the required voltage and checked the screen. works fine, except for sum curving of the picture at the top right, and sum distortion (ever seen a computer monitor being filmed, horizontal type lines), only its not as bad. almost un-noticable...

any ideas to as what i may have blown... any help would be, uh... helpful.

Probably a resistor for the horizontal. Open it up and look for something that looks burnt.

With my official PSOne LCD the picture gets a bit wavy when the batteries are running low on juice. Depending on where your speakers are the magnets may be distorting the image. I had that problem when the speaker was sitting on the ribbon cable that was sending the audio and video to the display. It also got allot worse when the volume was turned up louder.

Capacitor, resistor, diode, fuse? Depending on exactly what it was you may want to replace it. You may end up hurting it more.
