Ok, I losely understand that with electronics the ground is connected to some wire that goes into the earth(?)
But how does a ground work in a portable since it has no connection to the earth? And could someone explain to me why electronics need a ground in simple terms?
I have an intrest in electrionics, and have done a little bit of soldering, but I don't completly understand the basics.
Can someone explain "ground" to me?

Try reading that. Basically, ground is a source of electrons (electricity). Without the electrons, nothing works.
