good screen?

I just learned of a new "disposable" digital camcorder complete with an LCD screen. A bit small perhaps but the camcorder should come in at only around $20US. So I did a bit of research:

The model number is A015AN02; I found a PDF manual about it here: http://homepages.nildram.co.uk/~displaz ... AN02V1.pdf

Normally I know embeded screens like this aren't thought of as usable for say a portable atari or whatever but then I found this site:

which seems to imply perhaps it would be possible to use such a screen, this site is of course way over my head. And if it could be hacked to work in a project like this it would certainly be a much cheaper portable eh? I found this FAQ which may or may not be about the screen in question:
