i have a pocket TV that has 4.5 dc power jack and i have a 4.5v ac power adapter. i know diodes change ac to dc and LED = "light emiting diode." so my question is would LEDs change ac to dc?
You need DC for use in LEDs, and most LEDs use lower voltages than the standard AC home voltages. You may see a bright flash from the LED and then see smoke.
thanks . once i find my soldering iron i'll have to see if i can make one with LEDs. they are diodes so hopefully it will work. if not i'll probably find some normal diodes in some old internet junk
