My first portable

Includes but not limited to: SNES, Genesis, Sega CD, PlayStation 1, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, Game Gear and I guess the Virtual Boy.

Im getting ready to build a Genesis Portable, im working on a case from scrapt right now, and if it works good, im going to buy a case from Triton, i hope it works though...

That clear polystyrene looks very nice fo this kind of project. Was it easy to cut, and where did you find something like that?

i have some translucent polypropylene that i might be using on some of my cases. i hope my electric grill can get hot enough!

It was fairly easy to cut, but i couldn't do it all with an exacto knife. I cut the middle roughly with the dremel and then filed it smooth.
It's easy to find, just go to any big hardware store, as it's primary use is an alternative to glass for shed windows etc... It's quite cheap too, cost me £8 for a sheet big enough for at least 3 portables. Thats a big difference compared to the £50 :shock: that the trophie shop wanted for a small sheet of engraving plastic!!

I still don't know how to hook up a PSone screen to an N64.

If I did I'd be done with mine.

connect video out from n64 mobo to pins 1,2,3,4 on slot 2. it's pretty simple

The composite line needs a cap and a resistor, otherwise the colours will be a bit off (at least my PAL version did) I got these from inside the AV cable.
