Make a cheap little PVR

Its powerful enough to record video at low bitrates, watch dvds from etc..

If you run windows xp on it get this > http://mediaportal.sourceforge.net/ it rocks.

That's better than my 2nd best computer :P
You could use it as a server, a media center, try out another OS maybe, use it as a router (kinda a waste of a good machine if you ask me though)

Install Apache or some other server program, then (if you're behind a router) enable NAT.

:D Make a franken-heatsink for it that needs no fan- maybe undervolt/underclock it- rip it open, get rid of the stuff you don't need, slim it down, stuff it in an old VCR case and plug in a TV tuner. Maybe find a bigger hard drive for recording shows. Get a nice cheap wireless mouse/keyboard combo off of newegg.com, and have a nifty, cheap, home entertainment web-tv oldschool gaming platform!

actually i would personally use it for a entertainment system. Id hook to a reciever, fill it up with MP3s, then you're good to go!

thats what i did with my iMac anyway

Nice little computer, turn into a home gaming machine (N-Forcer, my idea), and run source ports like WinQuake, Doom Legacy, and attack 2 USB Ports for Controllers.
