you are confused, yes it would be 12ah if you had them all in parallel, he is running them in series for 7.2v at 200mah (for 2 hours twenty minutes of run time) the 3300mah battery (if it is 7.2v) would run his portable for almost 4 hours

Series is putting batteries together connecting postive to negative, in a row

Parallel is tieing all the postives together, and tieing all the negatives together.

Series adds up the voltage, parallel adds up the amperage.

yeah, meaning that if you want the 15amps thatll give you, and the 7.2v youll want/need, you'd require 36 batteries. Heh.
