^yep and this is a flaw in xp if thats not what your runing it wont be a problem

Personally, I would suggest running a program called "Hijack This" its free, small, good. It is at www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/downloads.html

run it and post a log file to see if it is dastardy virs/spyware thing or just an annoying little bugger.

Are you having symptoms or is it just the fact the file is there that is bugginf you?

Anyways, try this file deletion utility. I think it does its stuff at the table level.

I keep telling people its not a virus its just an "annoying little bugger" it dose nothing but piss me of a great deal its ez to remake if you are runing the xp with most of the latest updates and probubley older versons also you just do as I described earleyer

Try booting off the XP CD, and going into the Recovery Console. You will get a DOS-like screen. Try using the DEL command to delete it from there. There's a small chance it will work, since you will be outside of Windows.

Yea, goodie tried it, and so did I, but it takes the "." off automatically. I don't know why your computer is doing that, but both of us have tried taking the extension off, and neither of us had the problem.

well what ever the 3 differint computers I tyed it on works fine and each of them had windows installed from differint sourses (the outher 2 I was going to blank out anyway)

I do not know why you cannot do it (file will be invisable)
