Audio amp trouble

Audio amp trouble

I hacked off the audio amp from my hip gear screen adjust board and wired it up today. It didn't work :( :evil: $*&$%#%!!!!

I had 4 Ni-Mh's hooked up to it, that should be enough voltage since ladyada said it could run at 3V.

The power was getting to the amp and so was the audio, I checked it several times.

I put my ear up to the speaker and there was some slight static coming from it. So I guess the problem must be that the audio isn't getting to the amp-chip-thing.

Oh yeah I only have it wired up for left audio (mono), that shouldn't make a difference should it? I only removed the right speaker and all the capacitors leading to it.

Any ideas? :? :?:

Thanks man! :) That should at least help me figure out what stuff is. What is the thing on the right marked SL1? A diagram of the chip?

Also can you think of any way that I could simplify the whole thing? I only need mono not stereo. I would like to just take what I need of the board and redo it on some PCB.

That's the connector that connects the input board to the lcd controller :)

Gannon...I love you man! It works!!!!!! :D
What happened was somebody said that the red wire going to the amp was left, but after looking at your diagram I figured out it was really right. SO I just switched the wire to the other spot and it worked! I felt pretty dumb, but I was so happy that it worked I didn't really care.

Never have I been so happy to hear the playstation startup screen: Broommmm--wwwinnnnggg...duun-dun-ding...
