2 pin tact switches on the SNESp controller

on the NES controllers modded controller can i use 2 pin tact switches
i found them on my VCR

I think that should be fine. It just seems like they're just meant for one signal, which is all you should need. Also with things like switches, as long as it doesnt deal with power experimenting with switches shouldnt harm anything. The worst that could happen is that it wouldn't work
