the echo command simply repeats whatever you type, back at you. For example if you type:
Then it will respond with:
The > tells it to send that output into a file you specify, instead of the screen. So basically, it should allow you to put some information into the file, so it isn't 0 bytes.

Hmmm, try this: go into Notepad and type random letters. Then save it as "weird." in the same directory, thus making a file that takes up space, which can then be thrown into the recycle bin.

Two things use firefox, and i didnt read to see if this was posted already... reboot in safe mode and delete.

You said it, but some people(Bic) have tried it, and they didn't get the problem. I need to get the exact same thing. Did you try running ScanDisk? You might have disk corruption or a problem with the file allocation tables.

made some progress sort of
if I make a new file name it the same thing as the problem file then erace the . at the end of the problem file then erace one of them then undo delete there will be onley one file witch can be eraced and then its gone for a wile
BUT as soon as I restart they are back
