It probably has a trigger on one of the slots so only one is can be used.

That looks like one of nintendo's original NES concepts. They decided on the "boxy" look cause the sleek, chrome'd console, much like the one in that link, looked more like a piece of high end electronics in the entertainment center the kids werent allowd to touch. They were going to use IR Controllers too, but they were unreliable.

I'd get one because i have the wireless snes controller and it works great so i could trust the quality(Oh no! I just sounded like my father!), but i dont like the fact the carts would be sticking way out front of the system kinda takes the vhs style away from all our memories.
