PSOne component value needed, mine is FRIED!

I FINALLY got my VGA working. And I FInally got a custom VGA Cable built, I had to soldier in some SOIC 75 Ohm resistors.. My voltage regulator is working fine. All my custom jacks and inputs are all in place. I piece all of it together and what happens? My power pack and regulator go insane and fry a component. When I mean fry, I MEAN it! Smoke was bellowing out of every hole! At first I thought it was the internal screen regulator, but it turns out its not.

In short, I killed the component label'd DV1 rigtht above the Slot 2 connector. Its on the Screen side... If someone can tell me what it is and its value, I can try and replace it... (I think it was an LED or Diode, but i could be wrong).

for some reason mine is white... it could be cause it got seriousally cooked. There are even some serious scorch marks.

Well, I removed DV1 which was reduced to ash. It seems since my PSOne screen is in fact a modded PSOne by Verge (for the Cube) that part isnt needed. Normally it would be in line with the Composite Signal line. Im sure DV1 is a capacitor. A Diode wouldnt be put on an analog signl line.

If someone could actually tell me what it is just so i feel a bit more secure...

I'm pretty sure it's a diode (based on color, appearance, and the fact that its label starts with a D). I can't think of any reason for a diode to be in parallel with the composite line though (other end is connected to ground) other than to act as a minor surge protector (for when you turn off either the screen or the source supplying video input), and in this case it doesnt appear to be doing anything at all.
