I can't remember who was asking bout the projector (i think it was O boy)

anyway i finally got off my ass and uploaded some pics of the projector.

Now i just hooked up my snes with mario allstars to show what i mean bout size and quality.

Now this was done in my room so thats why the image doesn't take up the whole projector screen

I never thought of using an overhead projector and a lcd

Now that I think about it, my math teacher has an external lcd for a graphing calculator that goes on an overhead

Actually the quality is very clear

It looks bad cause i got a REAL bad camera that only looks ok with a flash which is stupid cause the camera can only take 3 pics with the flash then there isnt enough juice (damn u crappy polaroid digitl cameras)

But it's very clear and it looks quite good.

The lcd is a 7.6" OEM LCD i got on ebay for $120 and it runs off 5v to 12v and only sucks 1amp (around 300 or so with the backlight off)

It's a unipac lcd they don't have sound they are just oem modules so they are perfect for a portable

yeah im gonna get a $300 lcd monitor from clints crazy bargins hopefully the controller board can be removed so i can use the proiector on it

no you take off the backlight so the lcd is seethrough

thats why only some monitors will work cause u need to be able to see the whole screen without any boards in the way

You don't strictly need an OHP to do it, you need a bulb, lens, LCD and Mirror , then build your own Data Projector (not Overhead Projector)

I knwo but trying to find lens in australia is hard and using a OHP is cheaper when it comes to buying a brand new lens.

That projector is ok but it's crap quality (reason being it's ment to be low quality).

Allmost all home made projectors are crap quality mostly cause of the signal.

tv on my projector is horrible even cable

using digital tv on it it's crystal clear with a projector you can tell the difference cause it has sharper pixels to projecto so it looks clear not blurred snes games etc look great cause they are being produced then converted to composite so there is hardly any signal loss
