GCN in a laptop case?!?
Well, one day i came up with this idea. I had an old laptop laying around, a couple of extra laptop parts, and a lot of time. What I did was take the laptop and remove some of the older things (RAM, Floppy drive, battery) . Then, I installed a lot bigger versions of the older ones (not size-wise). I now have 256 MB RAM (up from 64) A CD-RW drive (up from a floppy, i guess) a brand new battery, and an updated mobile video card (composite/svideo in and S-video out). I was planning to open the GCN up, but the Nintendo screws stopped me. As soon as i get a screwdriver (which will help me in my portable Nintendo) I will resume making my monster laptop. The cd drive for the gcn poses a problem, and to solve it I might buy a Panasonic Q. This may cost me a lot of money, but it will be much cheaper than me wasting 2 or 3 GCN's trying to make a custom Disk drive holder thing.

1. how do you expect to connect a laptop screen to a GC?Can't be done w/o a decoder card
2. where is the motherboard for the gc going to go?
3. controllers?
4. there are alpha to beta stage gc emulators out there.

1) I have VIDEO CAPTURE/IN on the gfx card.
2) Probably underneath the laptop., in a metal case (with ventilation)
3) The first-controller will be hard wired below the keyboard, on either sides of the touch pad ( L and R will be custom buttons, but not on the sides, on top of the keyboard) 2 3 and 4 will be near the disc drive and memory cards, in the case below the laptop.
4) Yah, but A) they run way too slow and B) To play games, i would need ISO's of GCN games, which take up too much HD space. ( NOTE: I didn't upgrade my HD, which was 5 GB)
number three doesn't make much sense in words, so i'll edit this with pic's later.
