Does anyone think we should have an archive for data such as how many megabytes you can hold on a standard cd?

not realy sence it tells you how much space is on one when you stick it in your computer and they differ in size there is no reason to arcive useless information, why would you want to?

recordable CDs have their capacity printed on them, unless you buy the really cheapo bulk ones. Then you can see how much space is left on it by putting it into your computer.

What we DO need is a "noob FAQ", answering questions like "can I use a cell phone screen?", "Can I use a Gamegear screen?" and "Where do I connect the AV wires to my Genesis?".

Floppy Disk = 720kb/1.44MB (MS-DOS Readable Disk for PC)
Floppy Disk = 880kb (For Atari ST/Commodore Amiga)
CD = 650MB-800MB (or 825 if you try Overburn)
Smart Media = 16-128MB
Compact Flash = Just about anything up to 2GB
Mp3 Player = Bog Standard: 64MB-20GB, I-Pod: 20GB
