ps1 screen power, need a part

ok, i think i am retarded or something. but i have looked over the internet longer then it usualy takes me to find what i am looking for.

so, i have looking to drop my 12v power down to 7.5v to run my psone screen. I know their are dozens of how to's, but i need to buy that peice to get power to finish the mod. If anyone as a direct link to the part i need, i think its a linear rectifier, please please post

I used an LM317 Voltage Regulator. With this regulator and 2 resistors you can have it output 1.2V to 37V. I built a simple Voltage Regulator that outputs roughtly 8.8V from my 9.6V radio shack Ni-MH RC Car pack.

Your best bet for resistors is 680 and 3.3K ohm. They should both be available at radio shack...

When building this, try to use some kind of heatsink. Either build, buy or obtan somehing you can use. The regulator will operate more efficently if you have a heatsink.

Not for a LM317 or 78xx. Those can usually just be attached to somethin metal that is bigger than it.
