If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.
Composite has all 3 RGB channels mixed (so to speak, I dont mean tying R+B+G together will be composite, im trying to be SIMPLE here) because of this it has somewhat crappy quality compared to true RGB. If you take Comp. and extract the RGB, its still going to look like crap. Dont bother.
You CAN mod the PSOne screen to accept direct Comp. inputs. Mine does.
750mA is a bit of power, the less power needed, the longer your battery will last.

you can have more than one devise connected to the same video or audio in you just cant have them on at the same time but sence your doing the n64 youd probubley want to connect the n64 to rgb witch would be differint from the composit in on the av jack

7.5V at 750mA makes it happy. I wouldnt go over 1 amp though. I have a 9.6V Ni-MH battery that makes the screen sad. I think it can go as low as 6.8V but im not sure yet.
would it work if i gave it 9v without it busting? i found a 7809 and i want to use it to connect a 12v battery but i don't know if it will hurt the screen
For voltage, I've personally ran my screen off 9V from a Li-Ion pack with no troubles.
As far as running multiple devices into the same input, you can end up with ghosting, even if all devices but one are off. Not set in stone, however, and the length of cables affects how much ghosting you get.
I do not belive ghosting would be a problem when nothing is pluged into the av jack but there may be some when the n64 is terned off and anouther sourse is is going in that is why I sugjest the n64 should go into the rgb inputs along with the fact that you would get a higher resalution
Thats 12V DC, it would be easier if you got something like that but at 7.5V or less, that way you dont need to rebuild anything to support thr higher voltage. I would stick with standard LEDs... As for me, im not doing the LED Mod yet.
