Ok, lets start this off. Im not a noob. I know electronics. I know how to use an iron, and I have an I.Q. above room tempature...
I have a Verge Gamecube Screen, is a "hacked" PSOne screen. It doesnt have the Slot 1 and Slot 2 connections (it has the connections, but nothing is plugged in). Verge has tapped into the board components to attach audio and video.
I did an RGB mod, or tried to. Its not working right. When I plug it in to a PC and diddle with the settings, the screen seems to be off center and wrapping arround the borders, has a lot of "wiggly" vertical interference, and a horizontal wiggly black bar down the center.
At first I figured it was a bad VGA cable, but its not. Is my display adapter not outputting correctly? I have been dicking with Power Strip for a while now, and I havent figured it out.
For the physical connections, I have removed the Slot 1 connection completely and solder'd pins 3-7 to the respective VGA pins using an HD-15 (standard video card connection) Female jack.
Someone scan an original PSOne screen for me and I will mark down where and what Verge did to this screen. It might help figure out whats wrong. Im thinking because Verge tied into the components, the VGA side might have sme bad ground, or flakey voltages... or my computer is outputting the wrong format.
