Don't worry. That's how they keep their bandwidth to a level where they don't need ads to pay for it. Every day the severs go down, usually around midnight, for 5 minutes for maintenance. After they come back up (they call it "rollover") you are sober and you have another 40 adventures to use.

Or you could eat food or drink to get more adventures.

Go to the market (which 500 meat) and buy the whatever-its-called-terranium. Make sure you've done all the mt. Noob quests, and what-not, so the forest is unlocked, go there, find a mosquito larva, set up the terranium, and use the larva.

The first familiar you will probably get is a giant mosqito that sucks a life point out of your enemy and gives it to you.

To get it:
I HAVE MADE THIS TINY AND WHITE BECAUSE YOU CAN COPY AND PASTE IT TO GET THE EASY ANSWER OR IGNORE IT IF YOU WANT TO FIGURE IT OUT YOURSELF.

1. complete the quest on Mt. Noob.
2. go to the council of loathing.
3. go to the woods.
4. adventure until you get the larva.
5. talk to council, get 500 meat.
6. spend 500 meat at Market for a familiar terrarium
7. use terrarium to put it in your campsite
8. use larva to hatch it in the incubator/terrarium thingy.
