Battery Life Guestion?

Hey guys, I just wired toghether my megajoy 2 and screen. Im using a 6AA battery pack.To my surprise my portable nes lasted for a full 4 hrs before the screen started to dim a little. For some reason I didnt think it would last that long. My question is, when i tested it I just left it on playing ninja gaiden. It cycled through the little introduction videos at the beginning the whole time it was on. Any way the question is, does actually playing the game take up a lot of battery life. I think the controller takes some power so I wonder if when you actually play the thing if the battery life will be cut down considerably.

Might be a stupid question but i just dont know.

It should differ at all. The only thing I can think of is the difference in power usage between internal and external games.

Mine doesnt have internal games. If youre right thats cool i'll have over 4 hrs of play time.
